Support our New Home for AIA|LA + ACLA

We were able to pursue our dream of building a freestanding space in the heart of Los Angeles through careful fiscal management over many years. Today, we are very close to completing this project, and now need the support of our members and friends to get us over the finish line. Please help us make our dream a reality by reviewing the donor and sponsorship opportunities and making a contribution.

Our new space is situated halfway between Downtown Los Angeles and the West Side, in the historic West Adams district. We are renovating a Neo-Classical bank building from 1927, which will house AIA|LA’s offices and serve as a space for our nonprofit organization, Architecture for Communities, Los Angeles (ACLA). Conceived as a hub for the LA design community, the Center for Communities will provide programming that celebrates architecture and educates communities about the value of design and its positive impact on the development of our city. The new Center for Communities will be a space for meetings, conferences, exhibitions, celebrations, and networking for our members, our youth, our city leaders, and our fellow Angelenos.

Our total fundraising target this year is $1,000,000:

$500,000 in cash donations and $500,000 in services or in-kind donations. In-kind donations include building materials, furniture, electronic equipment, plants, services, and labor.

AIA|LA is a 501(c)(6) not-for-profit organization

ACLA is a 501(c)3 nonprofit organization
